Bex and I stopped by Blue 9 Burger on "Burger Row" (3rd ave.) this afternoon. They are going for an In N Out style burger that is fast yet is made with fresh ingredients but I was not that impressed. I thought the meat was bland and the bun was flakey. The fries were good. Better than In N Out in my opinion. BUT the ketchup was the real problem. Only packets. AND the dispenser which was labeled ketchup dispensed Thousand Island dressing! Which is their special sauce..shhhh don't tell anyone.Roger:
Bex: I agree with Roger- the bun was not the freshest or softest, especially since they claim their buns are "Fresh Baked", but maybe the addition of lettuce, pickles, and tomato made my burger a little juicier. I liked the burger enough to finish it, but I'd take an In N Out burger over Blue 9 any day.
