Burger Club went duo and ventured out to Williamsburg, drawn to the cleverly named WilliamsBurger. But the puns do not end there. WilliamsBurger uses Hereford beef in their burgers. If you are ever desperately bored, you can watch a Hereford commercial here: http://www.herefordbeef.net/adsandpress/consumerads. The commercial is chuck full of bad puns. While light music--the kind you might find playing at a pottery store--plays in the back ground, two puns sweep across the screen, superimposed over the image of cows grazing during sunset. One pun is a clear-cut gem, "a cut above," while the other is much more ambiguous in nature, "a breed apart." Craig Huffhines, Hereford's Executive VP, then appears on screen to tell Hereford's heavily-analyzed-by-the-marketing-team's history. Huffhines, decked in a white cowboy hat, black suit, and gold rings, one per hand, brings his fingertips together, and asks, "Do you remember the days of tender-succulent-great-tasting beef?" Why yes, we would like to. Although we are not sure what kind of question that is, coming from someone who looks approximately our own age. Also, it is not like Hereford cows are completely fed the natural grass way. They are fed corn too, so how is this old-fashioned? Not to mention, why exactly did the advertising team choose to position Huffhines between a fake plant and a Last of the Mohican's painting?

Despite Hereford's advertising oddities, the WilliamsBurger burger is a solid one. This is not a place to go, if you like your burgers rare, but if you do not mind a well-done burger, then it is averagely good. The space is great for nice weather, with the windows sliding back, and even some choice outdoor sidewalk seating. They served us on paper plates, which seemed unnecessary and not very green, but maybe there is a reason for this? The buns reminded us of Veselka's buns from Amy's Bread. The butterscotch milkshake was incredible.

Besides the stupid tag-line, "Beefing up hipsters", WilliamsBurger is a pretty cute place. The $7 cheeseburger comes with pickles and fries. I'm not sure who came up with the idea to charge extra for lettuce and tomatoes, but $.10 gets you some lettuce and $.25 will get you some tomatoes. Totally weird, but still relatively cheap.

The menu said all burgers come medium rare but mine was definitely medium to medium well. The patty is large with great char, and I added white cheddar for no additional charge. The pickles are awesome, but cut so thick I mostly just ate them separately. Overall pretty good!

Check out the pickle on that guy. 10 cents for lettuce?!?! Apparently this place thinks hipsters are made of money.
